I’m super excited to be one of USC Center for Health Journalism’s #2023CHJNatFellows! I will look into maternal health care deserts in rural Nevada and the role doulas can play. My series will air and publish on KUNR Public Radio later this year! 📻❤️

Great work by KUNR Public Radio's Kaleb Roedel on his Science Friday segment from last week: Reno Is Preparing To Turn Its Wastewater Into Drinking Water sciencefriday.com/segments/reno-…

I see no reason to remain active on this website. There are better ways to build community and share knowledge. ✌️ Related: Demonizing journalists to spread disinformation is dangerous and undemocratic via Las Vegas Review-Journal lvrj.com/post/2906667

Come celebrate KUNR’s 60th anniversary! I'm moderating a discussion with NPR Senior Political Correspondent Domenico Montanaro. Reply with your questions for us about Nevada & the 2024 election! Don’t forget to RSVP to the free event on Oct. 10 from 6-8 pm @ RLT eventbrite.com/e/kunr-public-…

Whenever I get a chance to work with a talented early-career journalist like Jose Davila IV, I know there will be a day when they move on. I'm not surprised at all that Jose landed at the The Salt Lake Tribune. We'll miss him at KUNR, but excited for his next chapter! Congrats!

So happy about this partnership with KUNR Public Radio and a total pro like Brian Duggan. He and I will be doing the equivalent of an AMA (but with beer!) Feb. 9 to talk about the collaboration and anything else you want to ask us. Hope to see you. kunr.org/kunr-station/2…

The jury has found Robert Telles guilty of first-degree murder for the killing of Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German.

Meet Susie Holland, a Reno grandmother who was trying to earn an extra buck by giving rides to Burners on their way to Burning Man Project. Instead, she was caught in a sting early Monday morning and was looking at up to $30,000 in fines. Here's her story: rgj.com/story/news/loc…

A big shoutout to the KUNR Public Radio news team for their ongoing coverage of the Davis Fire burning south of Reno. Read updates here: kunr.org/2024-09-07/dav… Listen to them tomorrow morning during Morning Edition on 88.7 FM or at kunr.org.
