A bittersweet day for Watson Lane students and alumni. The elementary school is closing after 60+ years, at the end of the school year. Staff came together this afternoon to host a bbq and take pictures, reminisce and say their final goodbyes. WDRB News

Your last chance to watch a movie at #Village8Theatres is this summer. The Louisville landmark off Dutchmans Lane will close July 5. The only “discount house” in the city opened its doors again almost a year ago following a 2-year closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic. WDRB News

Strokes of passion and inspiration 🎨 filled Roots 101 African American Museum this evening as the young ladies of Grace M. James Academy of Excellence showcased their love for art and west Louisville leaders. Jazzmyn Clemons, a 6th grader said she was inspired to paint Bussey10.0. WDRB News

Huston Quin Park in the Wilder Park neighborhood near Churchill Downs could soon get neighbor support. Metro councilwoman Nicole George (D-21) is challenging seven neighbors to help survey, patrol and pick up litter to keep the park safe, clean and kid-friendly. WDRB News
