BRCC celebrated its 29th commencement ceremony, during which three student-athletes from the Bears softball team received their degrees. Eve Fruge' earned an Associate of Science - General Science, while Ashlyn Hebert and Mary Wicke both earned an Associate of Science -Business.

Bears Softball Sophomore Utility Player Maddie Robinson has been named the Region 23 Division 1 Softball Player of the Year. She played a significant role in leading the Bears to their first-ever postseason victory and a third-place finish in the South Central District Tournament

Bears Softball sophomore first baseman Mary Wicke has been named to the All-Region 23 Team. Mary demonstrated true leadership for the Bears. She hit a clutch walk-off solo home run in the 10th inning against NEO, leading the Bears to the semifinals of the South Central District.

Bears Head Coach Mark Suire has been named the Division I Region 23 Coach of the Year. The Bears achieved a program record of 25 wins and 18 losses, secured their first-ever postseason victory against NOC Enid, and reached the semifinals of the South Central District Tournament.

Bears Sophomore Pitcher Maddie Robinson lands another accolade. She's been chosen for the All Louisiana Second Team as a pitcher. Maddie is now the second Bears Softball student athlete to achieve All Louisiana Team recognition in program history.

The wait is over - the Bonne Sante Wellness Center on the BRCC Midcity campus unveils its brand-new gymnasium floor. The revamped Bears' floor boasts an updated center logo, claw marks, and the Bears script along the sidelines, all sporting vibrant new colors.

Come visit and support the Bears. Mark your calendars for the Lady Bears' season opener on October 31 at 6 pm in the Lady Bears Classic, and the Bears' first home game on November 3 against Florida Coastal Prep at 6 pm. Head to the Bears Den to watch the Bears make more memories
