During SITE this year, Class 4 have explored 'Sound'. We looked at the ear in detail and how some people have hearing difficulties; with this in mind, we looked at alternative forms of communication. They worked together to do the alphabet using BSL 👏

Huge THANK YOU to PCSO Louise Rothery for coming in this morning and talking to Years 4, 5 and 6 about social media and actions v consequences. It was an insightful discussion that prompted lots of talk back in the classroom!

Our Bramham Class 2 children had a wonderful time at Lotherton Hall yesterday. We explored the wildlife park and got to spend some time with Florence Nightingale! We already knew lots about her from topic lessons, so we were ready to ask lots of questions! 🏥

A huge congratulations to Shadwell's Netball team who played incredibly well at the Leeds Netball Finals last week!🏅 Not only did they persevere against some tough teams, but they were also able to win the competition which makes them officially the best Netball team in Leeds!

Well done once again to Shadwell's Netballers who, in addition to their Leeds Finals win last week, won the Leeds Well Schools Netball Finals on Tuesday! What an incredible team!

Year 5 were immersed in their local history today at Bramham Park!

Class 4 had a fantastic Tudor trip. They were immersed in an interactive timeline, dress to impress role play, time travellers (using inventories and artefacts to discover more) and a tour of the house! Thank you to all our helpers and Temple Newsam 👑

Our nearly Year 6s had a wonderful taster history lesson this afternoon. They learnt about the role of Victory Gardens in WW2. They then planted up some ‘victory’ carrots ready for a very special WW2 inspired cookery lesson in Autumn! 🥕🇬🇧

Junior Bake Off - Class 4 style! The children have worked in groups to bake a Tudor Twelfth Night themed cake. We are looking forward to hearing the verdict after the taste test later 🍰
