November is Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM). The Indigenous population of Canada experience a disability rate much higher than that of the general population, at approximately 30% to 35% (around 1 in 3 people).

Neuroplasticity refers to the capacity for neurons (brain cells) to change and adapt in response to our behaviour. Neuro (brain) + Plastic (bendable, flexible, adaptable)
