Today with colleagues from Thames21 we got stuck into #LondonRiversWeek with a volunteer litterpick in the River Ravensbourne. #LoveBPP

Yesterday I was in the Lake (I don't think this is what the lake users normally wear!) Doing a monitor of some habitats, lots if invertebrates underwater and plenty of birds on the surface. Really nice to see. #LoveBPP

We kicked off our #LoveParks Week with a Saturday volunteer balsam bash in the Wet Woodland. This invasive plant spreads very quickly due to its ability to launch seeds up to 7m causing it to block out other plants. Keep Britain Tidy Beckenham Place Park

We did a #BigButterflyCount with some volunteers today at Beckenham Place Park when the sun popped out ☀️ I was so happy to see two of my favs! The Brown Argus (not featured in the Count but recorded via iRecord Butterflies app) and the Small Copper Butterfly Conservation 🦋 😍🦋

We had a brilliant moth recording event at Beckenham Place Park in partnership with Beckenham Place Park Ranger. Amazing to record over 20 moth species from one night including Gypsy Moth below with its huge antennae. We supplied a moth trap so local volunteers can start doing regular recording.
