Trump went above and beyond in his warmth towards and reaffirmation of the Special Relationship. Quite extraordinary. The royals have delivered, it has to be said. Although of course many will try to ignore that reality.

So much negativity on here #saintsfc clearly a bunch of absolute snowflakes 🤣. We’re 30 mins in and people calling for Rohl and giving up. You wet losers.

2 mistakes by GK and then centre backs gifts an average team a 2-0 lead against #saintsfc. How long til we can stop staying that.

Wild price action in the October VX contract! Was sweating a bit I have to admit when it was pushing 28 this morning. Now at 21.5. Silly market -- Sees two credit incidents, hears Dimon say there could be more, starts to price in the 2nd GFC. #vix

I'd bring on Azaz for Archer at HT, play him as a false 9. No value in having a striker who looks as unconfident as Archer does. Feel for him, but it's time for Finn. #saintsfc

Add this to Fraser's "look the crime stats are falling, so you're all wrong about your experiences of crime and lawlessness" terrible take. Clearly a smart guy, but unfortunately so able to get things horrifically wrong. I can hear Danny Finkelstein rushing in to double down...

So the next market in the trend following system to fall out of bed and cause a sharp loss is Cattle. The Trump administration is very interventionist with respect to price. Which has wider issues, but making me wary of keeping positions in markets they start talking about.

“The government clearly never wanted these two things to be put together.” Labour has tried to play down the intersection of race and sexual predation because much of the grooming took place in Labour councils that did “nothing,” says Trevor Phillips. @FiFiGlover | #TimesRadio

“They are gaslighting the public.” Ministers “really need to stop making these public announcements" about housebuilding without talking to people in the industry first, says Steve Mulholland, chief executive of the Construction Plant-hire Association. Stig Abell | #TimesRadio

“If there really are 100 different things under consideration, what it suggests to me is a government with absolutely no strategy." The amount of speculation about the budget is “damaging”, says Times columnist Paul Johnson. @PJtheEconomist | @HugoRifkind

Before the sacking, was thinking about Still's comment that there's no quick fix and realised that the more you think about it JWP is actually a quick fix- incredible free kicks, experience, heart, leadership. Add that to Romeu... #saintsfc

Bloody hope that this Romeu return makes it more likely we can get a JWP return too. Can you imagine. The absolute antithesis of the wrong-headed recruitment nonsense we've had to endure with endless weak minded future-but-not-now 'talents' we've burned through. #saintsfc
