@bobthespindle

My name is Bob, and I am a mitotic spindle. I have never mis-segregated a chromosome. I speak for spindles everywhere.

"Mitotic catastrophe" People use the term in so many different ways. The only consistent thing about the term "mitotic castastrophe" is that it hurts my feelings every time I see it.

Well, maybe its because I'm cautious, but I only move chromosomes at 0.000000111 mph during anaphase. Slow and steady wins the race.

MCAK is a good little kinesin that helps me segregate chromosomes accurately. It seems almost unconscionable to want to intentionally inhibit this protein...yet, this paper makes a good argument for it!
