The fidelity on Quantinuum's fully connected machines is knocking on the door of three 9's (0.9987). Yeah, it's a marathon, but sprinting during the marathon is allowed. quantinuum.com/news/quantinuu…

Enjoyed visiting @umassengin as one of my first college visits and meeting their very impressive students, faculty and staff. It's easy to see why we're the Commonwealth's flagship public research university! #robotics #greenenergy #UMass

A WOW news: Chris Monroe to leave IonQ! Lots of comments in various social media platforms. The vibe of these remind me of the resignation of Martinis from Google Quantum. thequantuminsider.com/2023/10/24/ion…

Excited to share the 1st paper from our lab! In collaboration with UCSB, we demonstrate the first trapped ion qubit and clock operations with a direct-drive 674 nm integrated Brillouin laser and coil-resonator reference cavity. arxiv.org/abs/2402.16742

It was an honor to attend last week's announcement of the Quantum Computing Complex (to be housed in Holyoke) and roundtable discussion. It was a great example of sectors working together to continue positioning Massachusetts in this rapidly emerging technology. MassTech Collaborative

New advance in #QuantumNetworking! In a new paper now on Physical Review Applied, David Starling from Lincoln Laboratory and team from RLE at MIT showcase a cryogenically stable, scalable quantum emitter module with diamond color centers for quantum memory applications. read: journals.aps.org/prapplied/abst…

Sutherland et al. demonstrate the first 99.99% two-qubit gates in the world using trapped ions. (arXiv:2510.17286) The race for quantum computing now has three main teams leading, all trapped ions.
