#OnThisDay 1968 - The first time I ever saw a goal "live". The scorer Keith Peacock of Charlton though visitors Millwall rallied to win the game at the Valley 4-3. Traffic jams meant I arrived just in time to see Peacock's 2nd minute goal. 26,912 attendance

#OnThisDay 1985 - The game that never was. Arrived at Craven Cottage to see the pre season friendly v Chelsea which was called off late in the day. The reason I have never found out. Police advice was one theory. Chelsea were back at CCto win a League Cup tie three months later.

#OnThisDay 1999 - The start of a League Cup run which would take us to our first Quarter Final in 29 years. A First Round 1st Leg victory at Northampton. Sean Davis and Geoff Horsfield on target in a 2-1 win before 4,415 fans. #FFC

#OnThisDay 1998 - Just 4,305 at Craven Cottage to see a 1st round 1st leg League Cup tie against Cardiff, the faithful few rewarded by a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Peter Beardsley and Dirk Lehmann. We would repeat the same score line a week later in Wales #FFC

#OnThisDay 1997 - Super Mick Conroy scores from the half way line in a League Cup tie at Wycombe. The other scorer in a 2-1 1st round 1st leg win was Aidan Newhouse a summer signing who made just 12 appearances scoring 4 time (3 in the two legs v Wycombe). #FFC

What a performance by the Fulham Football Club under 21 side at Sutton last night. A hat trick for Aaron and Tom Oylott unlucky not to have his own match ball. Plenty of Fulham support amongst the 806 in attendance #FFC

#OnThisDay 1994 - Fulham played the first of 134 games over three season in the bottom tier (then Division 3 now League 2) Debutant Kevin Moore scoring our goal in a 1-1 home draw v Walsall who ended the game with 10 men. #FFC

One point about tonight's Carabao Cup draw. If its actually being drawn before tonight's games kick off then why was it not drawn after yesterday's games to give clubs an extra day to organise dates, tickets etc?.

Home draw. First out of the glass bowl (or whatever it is these days). So draw completely relaxed affair. Bristol City, whilst they have twice knocked us out of the League Cup we beat them 6-2 last time they came to CC. Hopefully whole ground will be open for this one. Fulham Football Club

#OnThisDay 1987 - Leroy Rosenior marked his return to Craven Cottage with a winning goal at Walsall. The only goal of a game watched by 4,691 fans. Rosenior would score 22 goals before moving to West Ham the following March. #FFC

#OnThisDay 1992 - 6,746 were at Vale Park to mark the opening of the 1992/93 season. A solid defensive Fulham performance earned a 0-0 draw. This game saw a debut for midfielder Danny Bailey who made just three first team appearances all in August 1992 #FFC

When is someone going to sort out Royal Mail deliveries in DA7. Now that Ofcom have given them carte blanche to deliver when they want. First class post should be delivered next working day (without fail). They did not even have the courtesy to reply to my MP Daniel Francis MP

#OnThisDay 1995 - Thirty years ago today we travelled to Scarborough playing out a 2-2 draw before just 1,946 fans. The home side levelling following two first half goals from Gary Brazil and Martin Thomas. My programme report also appearing in the local paper. #FFC

#OnThisDay 2001 - Just 6 years after the Scarborough game - our first top flight game in 33 years at Old Trafford. Despite Louis Saha netting twice we were narrowly beaten 3-2. Saw this one from Old Trafford Press Box sitting next to former United boss Wilf McGuinness #FFC

Disappointed once more by the referee appointment for Sunday given the events at Old Trafford in 2023. That said he had a fairly decent game at Craven Cottage last season v Liverpool. #FFC

#OnThisDay 1994 - The first of three visits to Scunthorpe proved to be a corker. Alan Cork scoring both goals in a 2-1 win before 3,165 fans. Recall the ie Press Box was a very tight squeeze for most of us. Liked the venue though. Also the fact that it was just off the motorway.

#OnThisDay 1996 - Goals from Micky Conroy and Paul Watson (the first of his five goals for the club) earned a two goal advantage in the League Cup 1st round tie against Southend before 3,084 fans including a large Fulham contingent.#FFC
