TSU members recently attended the Modified and Unsafe Vehicle Enforcement Course hosted by Waterloo Regional Police. Services from all over #Ontario attended. During the enforcement stage, 42 vehicles were inspected, 18 had plates removed and 100 charges were laid. #roadsafetystartswithyou

🚨UPDATE: Yesterday, the Criminal Investigations Division and the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Joseph Scott Nestler of Belleville. He was charged with failing to stop at a collision, resulting in death. He has a court date in August.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding those using the province’s waterways this summer to stay safe. This weekend a large number of marine incidents were reported across the province. OPP members from various detachments were called out to multiple incidents on OPP

Last week, members from Belleville Police Service - Traffic Safety Unit OPP East Region and Ontario Ministry of Transportation participated in a joint Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection initiative. In total, 25 vehicles were inspected. 3 had their plates removed with 23 charges and 5 warnings issued #roadsafety
