This will be devastating to a downtown DC already reeling from remote work. It will greatly increase the share of people going to games in cars instead of transit. But on upside, it will be very convenient for executives at Amazon HQ2, so close by, to get to their corporate box.

This was a brutal read on the "urban doom loop" taking place in St. Louis -- what's crazier is that it seems like we're just okay with accepting this. Where is the "auto industry taskforce/bailout" but for decaying cities? wsj.com/real-estate/co…

As chair of a local transportation committee and member of a federal one, I've seen Monica's work up close for almost a decade. She's brilliant. America's car-centric transportation policy is bad for cities & towns, bad for budgets, and bad for the environment. The Secretary is

Kamala Harris came to my hometown of Pittsfield MA for a fundraiser today. The first time in a while that a presidential candidate has come through a city that's been through a lot. It was quite a scene, w/ hundreds out for a glimpse. Hard to overstate the energy shift underway.

Kamala Harris visited Saginaw MI today. It's one of the small industrial cities I mentioned in this piece over the weeend, where the Dem share of vote has fallen sharply since '12. It's a category of place often overlooked in the usual metro/rural framing: propublica.org/article/electi…
