5 key Qs I ask any patients presenting with Anterior Knee Pain to the clinic. So important to have a deep understanding of load management, triggers and any rehab/Rx done to contribute to a clear diagnosis. #PFP #Rehab #AnteriorKneePain mrmv.ie/media/1240/pfp…

2 hrs post arthroscopy and ITB release for Patellofemoral + lateral joint line pain. Key is to mobilise early as able, ice lots, inner range quads exercises and rest! Looking forward to getting back on track with slow progressive loading of the knee. #Knee mrmv.ie/resources/blog…

2 days post Arthroscopy and ITB Release. Little but often mobilising, icing, AROM, AAROM and inner range quads work! Slightly more discomfort as expected as local anaesthetic wears off but ice managing it fine. Fitbit off, appetite back and Easter Egg to tackle! #PFP #KneeSurgery

Day 3 post Arthroscopy and ITB Release. Following Mihai Vioreanu’s accelerated rehab protocol. Every patient recovers differently and I put a huge emphasis on doing strength work pre surgery. Key to follow exercise plan, ice, rest, get on the bike and wean off the crutch as able.

6 days post arthroscopy and ITB release. Obvious signs of weakness in hip abductors as expected but slowly starting some basic strength work again. Continuing to use stat bike, AROM/AAROM exc, increasing time for isometric holds, increasing walking and lots of ice still!

Isolated ACLR versus ACLR-LEAT. No difference in quadriceps strength at 6-8/12 postoperatively. There was a reduction in reactive strength for the ACLR-LEAT group indicating more focus required on plyometric and reactive strength training #ACL #Rehab #RTP Mihai Vioreanu
