What did our members learn this cycle? Yet another cycle of committees, PACs, IEs, cherry picking Black owned firms as vendors and choosing majority white owned firms for ever other service rather than our members providing every service needed.

HIT's Terrance Woodbury on Black voter outreach: Many Black voters have not heard from either party. If we are not reaching out to them in the palm of their hands, we’re not reaching them at all.

Worth noting that in every statewide race Brent mentioned white consultants were used 5-1 versus Black consultants to outreach to Black voters for yet another cycle.

Yet another reason why we exist. You can either wait for a seat at the table that will welcome you one at a time; or build your own.

🧵 Earlier this year, the Council of DC passed the Revised Criminal Code Act (RCCA). Congressional Republicans are now leading the charge to block it. But we already know what DC voters want, because DC Justice Lab and FWD.us commissioned HIT Strategies to poll them on the RCCA.
