Birthday cakes as a kid were always interesting. Especially if there were no templates to make certain characters etc. These days you can google to find out ideas to make a great cake but back then you had to hope someone in town had a picture. #BKRRShow

This was the way to start Friday night off right. It was a good way to just unwind after a long week of school. Most kids had the whole weekend to just relax and have fun. We watched our cartoons, then once the informercials started we went out to play #BKRRShow

Red eye can be easily reduced these days due to technology but kids running into these older photos probably may be puzzled haha. Did you have any photos where this happened growing up? #BKRRShow

Growing up I don't think I remember anyone's room looking all bright and colorful. Every home I visited tended to look like the bottom picture. Maybe really rich kids had the cool stuff? #BKRRShow

Looking at some robots back in the day. This was the Omnibot 2000 and it ran for $600.00 back then. I had not learned about these until now. It was able to carry light objects and could have various commands. Do you know anyone who had one of these? #BKRRShow

Coming home from school you had to check the counter for notes or on the fridge. These were the ways to text back then. Since there were no cell phones to easily send a message. #BKRRShow

This was one of the more popular ways to chat back in the day. AOL instant messenger was around in 1997. It was discontinued officially in 2017. You used the messenger to chat with friends. You'd hear a door close if friend left and a door open when they signed on. #BKRRShow
