Given the small number of people who use frontier models today, I think many people who found AI useless when using the free version of ChatGPT are going to be shocked by the capabilities when GPT-4o is made freely available worldwide. Expect a burst of concern & excitement.

ROBOTS are getting insanely good. I predict 2025 will be when robots explode in popularity. Humanity's future is bright. 10 incredible examples:

AI is not some sort of natural phenomenon that will just emerge and become dangerous. *WE* design it and *WE* build it. I can imagine thousands of scenarios where a turbojet goes terribly wrong. Yet we managed to make turbojets insanely reliable before deploying them widely.

It is odd when folks get mad when I say AI is already useful. We are only 18 months into LLMs & there have already been many controlled trials finding LLMs are useful, firms have public case studies with real metrics, etc Lots of reasons to critique AI, “uselessness” isn’t one.

I have access to the 2M token version of Gemini 1.5. I think multimodal video is going to have some big effects on management, training & coaching. I gave Gemini an 85 minute video of a meeting. It was able to identify what happened & how to improve it. Not perfect yet, but nice

Claude 3, take this Excel Reverse Income Statement & make it a dashboard Make it nicer. Add the ability to do sensitivity analysis. All of this is real time. It diverges a bit from the spreadsheet because Claude can't read formulas, so it reconstructs the formulas itself (well)

I don't understand why people pay for courses. Anyone can learn anything using ChatGPT-40. Here are 5 Prompts you can use to level up your learning!

The current state of AI is that a third of Americans used AI in any given week in August 2024, mostly ChatGPT but a decent amount of Gemini. This is a pretty ubiquitous technology at this point. static1.squarespace.com/static/60832ec…

Just a month ago, Google broke the Internet with NotebookLM. Today it's dropping its "Experimental" label with updates to "Pass a note to the hosts" Here's what you need to know (and how to try):

It is morally wrong to use AI detectors when they produce false positives that smear students in ways that hurt them and where they can never prove their innocence. Do not use them. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

This is a master class in narrative horse shit. Opening sentence: "If they are smarter then us, then it is likely they will control everything" [CITATIONS REQUIRED] o3 is several standard deviations more intelligent than the vast majority of humans, and has not demonstrated
