An important part of our preparation for boarding programmes at Bishopstrow is cultural immersion. To this end, earlier today we visited the White Horse, which forms part of the English Heritage site at Bratton Camp, Westbury, close to the College.

On Sunday, we visited Stonehenge, which is perhaps the world’s most famous prehistoric monument, built about 5,000 years ago. It was great for our students to be able to experience this unique piece of British history.

Fairs have been a feature of life in Britain since medieval times. Last week, we created our own village fete at Bishopstrow, with students creating and then enjoying traditional games such as Tin Can Alley, Hook a Duck and Hoopla! A lot of fun was had by all involved!
