WOOOOHOOOO!! The Irish woodcock project is a-go for the winter! We set nets for snipe in a field at my home in West Cork. Didn't get snipe, but it was so special to catch the first #woodcock of the season, ringed by Dr Jenny Coomes ๐
Doing some audio analysis from some of the Evo Eco Cognition nest boxes and realised that Chaffinch contact call looks like an artist version of trees in a snow storm

We are really grateful to Sam Sam Bayley for his last two years helping on our project. We wouldn't have the nest data from the ~350 nest boxes in the 12 field sites in West Cork without his help. We'll use this breeding information in our future work. We wish Sam all the best.
