⠀ i don’t normally make new years resolutions. i guess . . . getting more sleep ? lame, i know. strengthening my bonds with my friends sounds better. ⠀

⠀ none taken. there’s no one in particular. it just feels so down lately — more than usual. which is to say that it always sucks here. i just want to brighten some days, i guess. ⠀

⠀ i’m starting to think how long we’ve been here doesn’t matter as much as how long we’ll be here. thanks. i’ll try my best. honestly. ⠀

⠀ some of us seem out of place. like . . . that feng girl. while some of us fit right in. i’m not sure. jonah ? i wish i could, but i haven’t yet. he’s pretty smart, though. good with numbers. i admire that brain of his. ⠀

⠀ dwight was one of the original bunch, i believe. i’m not sure how that spider thing in the sky thinks, but i guess there had to be a leader. i haven’t really seen jonah in action too much, but he does seem willing to help. that’s good. that’s good . . . ⠀

⠀ maybe there were better picks. i dunno. there’s gotta be something in him that it sees. paranoid ? no, not me. i’ve been in a situation like this before. i’m . . . kinda numb to this stuff now. ⠀

⠀ no. as psychologically impactful as it was, i think i’d take silent hill over this place any day. at least then i’d have something to actually defend myself with. and i can kill the monsters. ⠀

⠀ that’s a good idea. flashlights don’t compare to guns, and i’m still not really used to being without a blunt weapon in a place like this. flashlights and wooden boards are all we’ve got to defend ourselves, i guess, so we should make the most of them. ⠀

⠀ she’s trying to get her little pocket flashlight to work. unfortunately, it’s out of batteries. ⠀

⠀ anyone have a towel, or something ? ⠀

⠀ ❝ Thanks. I owe you. ❞ her face was first. she wiped the blood from her features, soaking up the red fluid into the towel. some of it was her own, mixed with someone else’s, and it was to be pondered as to how she got so bloody. ⠀
