What a wonderful time we had at Gladstone P Museum of Pottery in #StokeOnTrent yesterday. Rachel Shenton recommended it, not least because her nan and grandad and aunt and uncle all worked and met at the factory. This is the mould store. Big Sir John Soane Museum vibes

Tom Holland You need the Walton version. I did at at the Last Night of the Proms in 2002. No subtlety, none of the boring bits - just the Best Of speeches and some of the most stirring and patriotic music ever written

New scores!! More than 100 years after their premiere (those scores are unfortunately lost) the complete group of Sacred Partsongs by Ethel Smyth has been published! Our thanks to editor, Maks Adach, for his skill and patience, and to Anna Williams for her beautiful engravings

🎶 Locus iste in rehearsal with Owain Park. Tonight is all about Bruckner as we present three of his most radiant motets, before Berliner Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko perform his Fifth Symphony. #BBCProms 🎧 Listen on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Sounds from 7:30PM: bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

Well, it’s not everyday you get to play a piece about Dr. Johnson in Dr. Johnson’s very house! Looking forward to performing Judith Bingham OBE’s fantastically clever and funny Hodge once again with James Gilchrist

I’m deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Ronald Corp who was a good friend and colleague. A very gifted man combining Priesthood with fine musicianship. Particular commiserations to his friends, close family and his beloved Highgate Choral Society
