ACMS in collaboration with UBMS BAMSoc are recruiting speakers to deliver a range of virtual lectures and workshops on being BAME in the NHS. This lecture series will be aimed at educating medical students on the issues of discrimination, microaggressions and racism in the NHS.

We hope to use this forum to discuss these issues to facilitate greater awareness and sensitivity to these issues among upcoming medical professionals! Please register your interest here or by emailing [email protected]

📢 Disability History Month Event for University of Birmingham Students & Faculty📢 Dr Duncan Shrewsbury (they/them) will be delivering a presentation, "Doctors with Disabilities: Practices of Accessibility and Inclusion in Medicine" followed by a Q&A Seminar on 15th December 2:00-3:00 pm (1/3)

🥼 He will draw upon his lived experience and work as a doctor and researcher in medical education. 🖊️ His PhD focused on the psychology of dyslexia in doctors, drawing upon theories of self-compassion in education. (2/3)
