Good news: passed my Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED/First Aid recertification with 98% (added a 3rd breath). Bad news: practiced the EpiPen a little too hard and now I have a bruise on my leg 😂😂

Three years ago I got my first (and so far, only) ejection. Bottom of the 9th, tie game. We ended up winning in extras. I’m not a loud coach and I’m certainly not an argumentative coach, so even the umpires were surprised by my ejection, but it was worth it to fire the guys up.

Can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I moved to Japan! It’s been a crazy ride and I’m still loving it. Also the longest I’ve lived in one place since graduating high school (not including college/grad school). Looking forward to Year 3! #internationalcoach

5 days off means flying to Osaka for the biggest baseball tournament in the country: Koshien!! Took me 3 hrs to get these tickets online but it was worth it. 6 games in 2 days, bucket list item checked, and another NPB stadium down. #Koshien

Taught my kids what happens in America when you point to the bleachers during your at-bat (one of my kids kept doing it to me during BP). No, I didn’t hit them, but I did tell them the pitcher will throw at you. They were shocked 😂😂

Years of throwing BP to up to 30 hitters 5-6 days a week are really coming in handy. My kids aren’t throwing this week (since Sat) so guess who’s throwing all BP and pitching off the mound for practice?

I’m officially a measurement for my kids. When they try to figure out an opposing pitcher’s speed, they compare it to pitchers on our team. We faced a pitcher today that was about my speed haha.

These three haven’t been able to throw because of arm pain so while the others are working on rundowns, they are going over pitching form videos of each other. And no coaches told them to do it; they just do stuff like this by themselves. These are just middle schoolers.

Made a Japanese joke a few days ago at practice and now my head coach is bragging to people 😂😂

Ripped another pair of leggings attempting a sliding catch. The slide was great, the catch…not so much. Got it on the tip of the glove and couldn’t hold on. 😔

BBQ chicken, broccoli, beer, and baseball. It’s a good night.
