Luke warm take: most voters across the country are paying virtually no attention to the results of the New York Democratic primary…and yet the media frenzy on what it all means.

Seeing lifelong Republicans and MAGA who are upset with the Ohio legislature’s last minute takeover of the Public Teacher’s pension board (STRS). Many of whom are former teachers or who have family who are teachers.

We can all debate the tax policy here, but this statement from Gov. Mike DeWine is not something you hear from prominent, statewide GOPs these days: "Newspapers serve a critical role in our society to inform the public about important issues...and help bolster local communities"

I asked the governor why he signed the flat tax, since it would come at the expense of services that mainly benefit lower-income Ohioans. "I can count." "Meaning?" I asked. "I can count votes in the General Assembly," he replied, seemingly referencing a veto override.

I can imagine a lot of other ways $600 million could have generational impact for Ohio families apart from a handout to a pro sports team that has an owner with a net worth of $8.5 BILLION.

If you want to check to see if you have unclaimed funds instead of having the state give it over to the Browns, you can check here. I just did and it was pretty easy. unclaimedfunds.ohio.gov

Thanks to the GOP-backed BBB, Ohio in coming years will need to pay an estimated $318m in benefits + $98m in new admin costs, or face benefits/services cuts. Plus, our work requirement is expanded to include those aged 55-64, parents, vets, and others signalohio.org/ohio-snap-cuts…

People will say he’s not serious but when you commit to the written word & you are the POTUS, you must take it seriously. That people are even asking if he can do it weakens democracy. Not to mention the vague threat of simply not being “in the best interests” of the country.

I just spoke with Gov. Mike DeWine - he says his team is getting involved after KY police arrested Cincinnati journalists for covering an ICE protest. He is concerned & says he never wants to see press arrested. Video only on WCPO 9 News 5 Cleveland Ohio Capital Journal. bsky @ohiocapitaljournal.com wcpo.com/news/local-new…

No public broadcasting translates to a lot less coverage of state and local events, news, and programming—especially for those in rural communities. This is in tandem with the closure of local news outlets throughout the country over the past two decades. time.com/7307069/corpor…

When Aldi prices are looking like normal grocery store prices I have to believe most people are seeing a pretty steep rise in their grocery bills.
