For 7 years I've spoken with gov't and hospital leaders and still we have no funding for peer grief support in Ontario. I speak, but am never heard. Nothing will improve without a strategy that efficiently keeps grieving people *who are not ill* out of an under-resourced system.

Bronagh Morgan There are so many changes needed in the mental healthcare system, such that it is. Grief is certainly something that needs more attention. No, it’s not considered an ‘illness,’ but IT IS MENTAL HEALTH.

When a child dies, a bereaved family is created. We wish for a world where no one made families like ours on purpose. We grieve with those new to this pain. We will remember your children's names. Those of us who have the strength will stand beside you when you fight for change.

Grief is forever. We have to do better for grieving people. They are everywhere. They are all of us.
