Year 1 had a fantastic time visiting Ainsdale Beach! It was a fabulous opportunity to explore the physical features of the coast that we have looked at in geography. We walked through the dunes, did some sketching, made sandcastles and also had a talk from the RNLI lifeguards!

Borg, Graf, Federer....all-time greats, who only need their surname uttering to be recognised by the tennis world and beyond. It could well be the same for one of our talented Year 4s, who all represented Bexton brilliantly at the Knutsford Tennis Club inter-schools tournament!

Huge congratulations to this wonderful bunch of people, who have been so encouraging and supportive of each other, they have worked so hard together, remained positive and never given up. They thoroughly deserve their netball and football league champions medals. Well done!

This week, Year 2 enjoyed an amazing visit from the Trunk Theatre Company, taking us on a journey back in time to experience the Great Fire of London. There was singing, dancing, a water bucket relay race and a chance to rebuild London.  What an exciting morning!

Year 2 enjoyed investigating evidence from The Great Fire of London! They identified smelly cheese belonging to Samuel Pepys and items from the bakery on Pudding Lane.

🔥 As part of their History topic on the Great Fire of London, Year 2 took part in an exciting 'Great Burn' experience! They saw first-hand how quickly fire spreads and how fire breaks were able to stop it in its tracks. A fantastic way to bring history to life!

Our Reception classes held a pumpkin carving competition today. They designed their own spooky faces and the winning designs were carved on the pumpkins and taken home by the winners. Well done to the winners and everyone else who took part!🎃

Year 3 have had a wonderful Stone Age Day today! They've been creating clay pots like the 'beaker people', researching cave paintings and recreating them using charcoal, making their own Stone Age 'rock' music and tenderising leather. What a fabulous day! 🐆

Last half term, we celebrated World Mental Health Day. The children came to school wearing yellow and took part in a 'T-shirt with a message' competition👕. We had the winning designs made into real graphic t-shirts - don't they look brilliant? Well done to you both and everyone!

Our Boys' Football team finally got their season underway this week and it was worth the wait! The team spirit and the work rate were excellent, and the boys defeated a very good Egerton side. A great start to their season! Thank you so much to their adults for supporting us!

What a night! Despite the rain, the Bexton community made this year's Christmas Lights Extravaganza a huge success! Big thanks to everyone who helped, especially @aandm_marquees for their generous donation of tents, staging, and lighting. A perfect start to Christmas! 🎄✨
