Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms have developed over the Hill Country and are moving south. A few strong storms are occurring near Canyon Lake and Wimberley, capable of producing wind gusts to 50 mph and small hail.

1115 PM: new convection is just getting started NW of Corpus Christi and moving up the I-37 Corridor toward San Antonio and areas to the southwest. Hi-res models have been showing some 4+”rainfall totals for later in the morning hours Saturday over Uvalde/Medina counties.

625 AM: A cluster of showers is moving north through western portions of the San Antonio metro area and into the western Hill Country. Some heavier topical downpours are occurring, with isolated pockets of 1/2 to 2 inches of rainfall observed the last hour.
