#TitleIIA remains a historically underfunded program, not once reaching its fully authorized funding level in the past decade – let’s not make that mistake in FY 2023. Congress: we ask for an increase of this program of at least $100 million. Here at #LearnFwd22 we’re all in!

#LAD23 was great today! I love being with such motivated language advocates! We have so much important work to do to advance world lang education policy and $$ in this country, and especially to make the needs of our students and communities known to our Congress members! #NCLG

Allowing school buses to be outfitted with WiFi will give students more opportunities to succeed because it gives those without internet access at home more time to do their homework. NEA fully supports the FCC proposal to make school buses eligible for the E-Rate program.

Today we approved final rules to support Wi-Fi hotspots through the E-Rate program which will provide internet access for individuals without a reliable connection at home. fcc.gov/document/fcc-a…

The Fifth Circuit’s ruling against the Universal Service Fund is wrong. It undermines FCC programs connecting our most rural households, hospitals, schools, and libraries. It shows a lack of understanding of the law and hurts our most vulnerable students and communities.

What a downright dumb and misinformed decision by the Fifth Circuit under-cutting the Universal Service Fund which has done so much to connect Americans to the telecommunications they must have to be functioning citizens.

Rep. Frank Pallone (@frankpallone) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The Universal Service Fund WAS a bipartisan program – and it’s been going strong for decades. Now extreme right-wing judges are pulling the plug on the MILLIONS of families who rely on it for phone & internet service. This is today’s GOP: fighting for higher bills and chaos.
