The outlook today for ppl w ALS is much the same as for Lou & Eleanor Gehrig in 1939 and for my Mom in 1996. Technology is better but the course of the disease isn't. That's outrageous. We need to stop breaking our arms patting ourselves on the back & change some things.

153 brave souls retweeted over 3 days. 500,000 people are living with ALS. If they use Twitter like everyone else and each have 10 friends, we should have 250,000 retweets. #ComeOutOfTheShadows I am living with ALS and ask my friends Ben LaBolt Jeremy Bird Michael Slaby to retweet

2018 was a year of growth for our program. A year of putting culture first & rewarding our student athletes. 2019 is the year that we continue to move forward, continue to grow as a team & as a collective whole. The foundation has been strengthened and now it is time to build. 🧰

Thinking of those living w ALS as we enter 2019 & must give thanks to those who have committed themselves to furthering Answer ALS' & all research. We are on pace to begin the work identifying unique types of ALS, but acutely aware it isn't fast enough. #Together to Answer ALS.

God says restoration is coming, new beginnings are coming, breakthroughs are coming, victory is coming. The pain is only temporary, but the joy will go on forever.

After being diagnosed with ALS I had dozens of calls with family and friends. In each I had to explain anew what ALS was and that it would kill me. Every. Call. You can change that for the next patient. RT and ensure she gets a hug rather than a blank stare. Share. Spread Hope
