First morning at the new patch; plenty grounded migrants after a stormy night inc woodcock, goldcrest, blackbird and robin. Vismig siskin over land wigeon over sea. 20 bottlenose dolphin fished north bay, where there were 7 shag. And the great northern in the harbour, Scarborough

February ended in good fashion with 19 waxwing further complimenting an already excellent back end of month at the closing stage. 108 sp at the coastal strip, highlights included cetti's, nordic jackdaw, black redstart, water pipit, white wagtail, plus slav grebe (pers Lucy J Murgatroyd)

Nice selection grounded at castle hill by the nights weather; migrant totals with Sarah H inc 2 woodcock, 3 blackcap, 9 goldcrest, 2 ring ouzel, a fieldfare, 2 redwing, a black redstart, stonechat, 6 siskin. The 1st ring-necked parakeet for the headland later flew south
