The House continues to advance supportive energy legislation in the lame duck session. From the desk of Majority Leader Steve Scalise himself, I couldn't have said it better. majorityleader.gov/news/documents…

I cannot imagine a nominee with more technical and commercial understanding of EGS and the need to deploy geothermal for clean, firm power. Congrats, Chris Wright, looking forward to working with your team. politico.com/news/2024/11/1…

Bipartisan support for geothermal is BACK for the 119th Congress. Thank you Rep. Celeste Maloy, Congresswoman Susie Lee, Senator Cortez Masto and Sen. Lisa Murkowski for sponsoring the STEAM Act to extend permitting parity across oil, gas & geothermal. Time to drill for hot rocks! cortezmasto.senate.gov/news/press-rel…

We talk a lot about how EGS is following the shale boom playbook, and we are. But selling firm power on long term contracts looks very different from a capital and market structure perspective. EGS requires policy fit for power generation to unleash the tech from O&G.
