People are so biased in favor of "common sense" and against experimentation that when Archie Cochrane first started doing randomized, controlled trials, doctors were up-in-arms, demanding they be shut down. Now everyone defers to Cochrane reviews.

Gino's case against us has been dismissed. Scientists cannot effectively sue other scientists for exposing fraud/errors in their work. Those who work to correct the scientific record can sleep better tonight. Those who don’t want it corrected, well, I don’t care how they sleep.

Excited to share that my first ever paper has been accepted for publication at AHBP! Co-authored with my mentor and supervisor Jaime Palmer-Hague, whose guidance has been essential in forming this work and my skills as a researcher.

This is still one of my favorite #dataviz of all time. It shows how sensitive results are in small samples. It provides raincloud plots with N=20 (on the left) & N=500 (right). There is no difference between the two conditions other than the N.

Thrilled to share I'll be starting my Ph.D. at U-M Psychology this fall, studying in Josh Ackerman's Evolutionary Social Psychology Lab (UM Evo Social Psych Lab). I'm incredibly excited to join such a dynamic and accomplished lab within a leading department in psychological science.

After a great HBES panel on friendship, I thought it was a perfect time to share Benjamin Zubaly’s thoughts on why evolutionary theory is needed to understand friendships ayerslab.org/blog/why-under…

Why do our friendships feel so vital? I wrote a short piece for Jessica D. Ayers’ lab blog. It discusses why evolutionary psychology is critical for understanding complex social phenomena like friendship and provides an introduction to evolutionary social psychology. Read it
