Come along if you’ve got any questions about publishing in TIBG, or any other of the RGS-IBG journals. Very happy to chat!

20 years since I started at Geography at Durham , 1.09.2004. The mix of cyclical/linear time that is academia makes it feel shorter, but nice to reflect on friends made, many of whom I’ve co-written with, students taught and supervised, and all the committees (which I tragically enjoy!)

This is a really good, provocative paper - well worth a read. I wonder if the same argument applies about the ‘Good Research Adult’ - the adult who wants to engage creatively, who just happens to align politically etc.

This is a fantastic paper, that makes a real contribution to geographic work on landscape, via Grosz’s work. The 1st of a range of work from Amy Robson that’ll be out soon!

Probably the last time I teach Neoliberal Life this year, partly as it’s become bound up with a book project, also … time passes. But I love gathering examples for it, especially those that blur aliveness and disaffection. Here a perfect one - Fontaines DC, In the Modern World

Great seeing this paper is out. Here we try to deal with scale and territory questions in an inter-topological way, which we hope can be helpful to capture the nuances of city-region making and state space restructuring both in and beyond China.

A wonderful example of the type of careful, inventive scholarship we’re delighted to publish in TIBG - conservation without biopolitics …

note when they use 'international' (signaling some ranking-worthy quality or prestige, 'percentage of international students/staff') and when they use 'foreign' (when it constitutes a problem that needs to be 'curbed')
