In 1990 srgns under Medicare were paid avg $3,258 for a knee replacement today avg $1098. Considering inflation with no increase surgeons should be paid $7,656 today yet our expenses have gone up 2.35x,hospitals cont to receive ⬆️ reimbursement.

When a school charges nearly $60,000 per year in tuition and needs to establish a food pantry for medical students to survive, perhaps it’s time to closely examine how medical schools exploit students who are willing to do anything to pursue their dreams of becoming doctors.
