Did you know a honeybee's wings flutter about 230 times each second? This rapid motion produces the familiar buzzing sound. Despite their size, honeybees are swift, flying up to 15 mph. Their agility and endurance make them perfect pollinators. #BeeBuzz #Nature'sHelpers

Honeybees have an incredible sense of smell, using it to navigate and interact with their environment. Their antennae have many receptors for detecting pheromones, finding flowers, and recognizing hive members. #BeeScience

We've been hard at work setting up our new training space for the season's inaugural Queen Rearing class—almost ready! From installing a new floor to fitting water systems and adding storage and a presentation screen, it's all coming together with the family's help.

Checked on our newly introduced queens in the nucs this morning 👑🐝 — things are looking favorable! Most have been set free and accepted, though one queen needed a little assistance exiting her cage. The workers were quick to welcome her with food, a positive sign.

During shed renovations, we found a bumblebee colony in an old mouse den, surprising our digger operator! 😊 We carefully moved the nest to a nearby plant pot and will relocate it at dawn or dusk to minimize disturbance. Encountering nature so closely is always a delight!

A honeybee hive operates as a unit, with each bee having a specific role—from nectar-collecting foragers to nurse bees and guards. The queen supports growth by laying up to 2,000 eggs daily. Have you seen different bees near a hive? Share your stories! #BeeColony #beefacts

A queen bee meticulously places each egg at the heart of a cell, expanding outward in circles. This unique brood layout maximizes space and ensures nurse bees can nurture larvae efficiently. A robust brood pattern indicates a thriving queen and colony. #Beekeeping #Pollinators

🐝 Bee Fact of the Day! Did you know to make one pound of honey, bees visit 2 million flowers? 🌼🍯 Each bee produces only about 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime—teamwork in action! Next time you enjoy honey, appreciate the effort. #BeeFacts

🐝 Can you find the queen in this image? She's marked, but still camouflages well with her entourage! Spotting her is a delightful part of hive checks and shows the colony is thriving. 👑 Share in the comments when you see her! #QueenBee #BeeKeepingFun

🐝 Launch ready! This queen cell is part of the swarming process, the hive’s natural method of growth. A nurse bee is feeding the larva royal jelly. 👑 Early swarm detection is key for hive management and showcases nature’s instincts. #Beekeeping #NatureInAction
