I went to a gynecologist office run by Black women and gosh what a difference. -cloth robes in extended sizing -saw my history of CSA and made sure to stop the appointment and tell me it wasn’t my fault and she was proud I was in therapy for it. -trauma informed exam

The amount of pushback on social media to residents being paid 6 figures when we work at least 80 hours a week, provide advanced challenging care to some of the sickest patients in the hospital and lose time with family and friends is absolutely unreal

social media is so weird like i randomly get this violent urge to no longer be perceived and i just need to deactivate everything before i explode. i wonder if there’s a name for that feeling because i know i’m not alone.

I’m tired of pretending everything is fine so my friends don’t get sick of me. I just lost EVERYTHING at 25. I haven’t really walked or been outside in 6 months, haven’t watched a movie or worked and I’m in always in unbearable pain. And everyone is tired of hearing about it.

Can we talk about the mental damage this does? The disappointment teaches you to not have expectations & to not feel those emotions of excitement out of fear of being let down, again. Your word is everything! Please stop making promises you can’t keep or don’t intend on keeping.

I beg of you all. Please be actively involved in the lives of the young people in your family. It’s actually necessary. Aggressively make it your business. Make them have somewhere to go after school, keep up with their studies, take them during holidays, invest in their hobbies
