Today is new machine day! We are so excited to see what our Ss design to take advantage of these state of the art industrial machines - Haas VF2SS with TRT210 5th axis - Boss 1kw accucut fiber laser - Baleigh 33t press brake Thankful for the support of our admin and community

Today was mill training on our new Haas Automation, Inc VF2SS. We learned a lot. Thanks to HFO Chicago for your support! Our first part was definitely a learning experience, the lesson being that we need to work on speeds/ feeds & workholding, moving up to a VMC from our hobby mill.

Had a great day in the fab lab today! Students worked on frame rails for our robot frame. These were a bit too long even for our 30" travel so we drill one side& flip them in a custom jig. All three so far are the exact same length & will make assembling a square frame a breeze!
