Beachy Head: Seawatch 06.55 - 11.30 (CB,JW,RAB,LP) Another big morning given the date with 974 Brent Geese (spring total thus far 2346) and 534 Pintail all east. Thanks to Richard for the counting and collating. Sussex Birding

Beachy Head: The springs first White Wagtail was at Birling Gap this morning. Along with a light dusting of Chiffchaff throughout the week, they remain the only migrants thus far. Sussex Birding

Beachy Head 06.15 - 10.30hrs: (RAB,LP,JW) Kinda hard to capture the spectacle at times, of the 5008 migrating Brent Geese this morning. 2 Black necked Grebe were also a long overdue new bird for me here! Sussex Birding Rich's full counts here - trektellen.org/count/view/238…

Beachy Head: Slight improvement on the passerine front this morning with a female Pied Flycatcher in Belle Tout Wood (scarce in spring) 18+ Willow Warbler, c8 Common Whitethroat whilst RB had a Nightingale in Shooters. Sussex Birding

Beachy Head: The 2cy Iceland Gull still in the tilled field at Birling Gap this morning, quite a late record for this part of the country, originally found by JA on Sunday. Sussex Birding

Beachy Head: The sea livened up towards dusk. After work I managed to see 19 of todays 38 Pomarine Skua including a menacing flock of 14 passing east in the dying embers of the day. A moderate mix of wader too (Bar tailed Godwit in the pic) DT, RL, CB, RAB, JW, LP. Sussex Birding

Beachy Head: The Black Stork (which had been seen further west in Sussex this morning) kindly gave us a show, sharing a thermal with 14 Red Kite at 11:45. Thanks to Chris Ball for picking it up & giving me a shout!. Sussex Birding
