1) The Sarnia Firefighters would like to respectfully disagree with the attached statement by Councillor Matt Mitro on Sarnia Municipal Elections Facebook Page. His statement that City of Sarnia has ‘employment contracts in place with all employee unions’ is inaccurate.

2) The Collective Agreement between City of Sarnia and the members of Sarnia Firefighters IAFF Local 492 expired Dec 31, 2016. We are currently engaged in an interest arbitration process in an effort to reach a new agreement.
