Today some of Year 8 were taking part in the Aimhigher West Midlands 'Explore Your Future' day! They started the day at University College Birmingham where they got a tour of the facilities and tested their engineering skills with marshmallow and spaghetti towers! #careers #future

Next Year 8 went to Uni of Birmingham and compared the differences between a campus and city university and did the university quiz! In the afternoon they learnt about Chemical Engineering and even separated hydrogen and oxygen in water! Thank you Aimhigher West Midlands for a great day!

Before Easter, Year 10 created their own CV's and learnt all things employability. Today they put them to the test and experienced going for a (mock) job interview and all did amazing. Well done Year 10!👏 Also, a big thank you to all employers who attended as interviewers!

Today our Year 8's, 9's, 10's and 12's had a fantastic insight into the careers world at our Careers Fair. They had the chance to speak with companies in areas such as Architecture, Public Services, IT and also a number of different universities🎓📝

Last week we held our annual Careers Fair where we had a huge variety of different Employers, Training Providers and Higher Educational institutions. There was a real buzz from our students that day! Thank you to all who dedicated their time to attend!💜

Yesterday, we hosted our annual Mock Interview session for our Year 10’s. They showed complete professionalism from start to finish. A huge thank you to everybody who contributed in making it such a big success, we couldn’t have done it without you!!😊

Today, some of our Year 10’s went on a Careers trip to the Warner Brothers Studio in London to learn all about the different careers in the creative industry. We were also lucky enough to tour around The Making of Harry Potter!

NCS came in to deliver some great team building exercises for our students who are on the Access to Apprenticeships programme. We were then joined by Michael, an apprentice from HS2, who gave our students some great advice and being an apprentice. Thank you NCS HS2 Ltd
