Fantastic news! 🤩 22 Festival Internacional de Cine de Alicante came to a close yesterday with its Closing Gala, featuring the presentation of this year’s awards — including one for a Basque production. The short film ‘Unseen’, by María Algora and Mikel Bustamante, won the award for Best Direction.👏🏻

The Río Negro Film Festival has recognised Basque talent this year with two major awards. ‘Enarak’, by Beñat Iturrioz, has won the Best International Feature Film award. Meanwhile, ‘Puzzleak:The Rape Palace’, by Kote Camacho, has been awarded Best International Short Film.

🎬 We’ve just received fantastic news from Panòptic Festival! ‘Judoka’, the short film directed by Ander Iriarte, has won the Grand Jury Prize at the festival, which took place from the 29th of May to the 1st of June in Mataró (Barcelona). Congratulations to the whole team! 👏

🎉 75 animated projects from 27 countries will be presented this year at Cartoon Forum! Among the six Spanish titles selected is ‘The Kookoo Corral’, a 2D series with Basque roots, directed by Miguel Miranda and produced by Sumendi Uhartea and 3Doubles Producciones.

Fantastic news! The short film ‘Plague Season’’, directed by Gabriela Calvache, will have its world premiere in the Official Selection of the Palm Springs Film Festival. This is an international co-production between Mirokutana, Cineática Films, Femmakers, IntiFX, and Alacrán Films.
