Dawn in The City. Been shooting VR for years now but never really watched my footage on a headset. Played some VR games once - got hooked! Thinking about grabbing a Meta Quest 3S to vibe with my Insta360 X5 and finally watch my 8K videos in full immersion.
Hoping it'll get me
I was testing the Meta Quest 3S over the weekend and brainstorming some VR content. I reached out for advice from Grok, and I think I came up with something unique. Stay tuned.
Cloud movement over the NYC skyline from the newly opened Queensboro pedestrian path, shot on Insta360 X5 with extended selfie stick and magnetic mount.
These NYC street walk clips look great in VR headset, but watching uncut footage gets boring after a while. I still haven't managed to stitch even two clips together. Shot on Insta360 X5 in PureVideo mode.
I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge this morning with my Insta360 X5 and Go 3S, creating some VR and BTS content. I didn't even know that today marks the anniversary of the bridge's opening in 1883. That fact made me even happier I got out of bed early this morning!
Bravo, MTA! New digital board actually updates the train time-my 6-minute wait stretched to 8. So much better than the old one just freezing. Thrilling stuff…
I started shooting RAW+JPEG again for speed, so this timelapse was edited in under 10 minutes in post.
Editing RAW photos would yield better results, but for preview purposes, this works perfectly. Shot on Canon R6 with 28mm
F/2.8 RF glass with 3 filters on it from Pier 57.
