P5-7 enjoyed their traditional end of year water fight. Everyone was absolutely soaked and our P7s got well and truly drenched! Goodbye to our fabulous P7s and the very best of luck as you move on to Girvan Academy. We will miss you!

P1-4 children wanted to know why it rains so we carried out an experiment to find out. We learned that when clouds can’t hold any more water, it falls down as rain. Great job little scientists!

P1 pupils were on a mission today to help their teddy bears to count out the correct number of butter beans for each cake case. Great work P1!

A trip to the woods for our EYC children today. We noticed the leaves were beginning to change colour, the berries are growing…and of course we had to practice our climbing skills too!🍁🍂😍

As part of our weather topic, P1-4 created rainy rainbow pictures using oil pastels and watercolour paint. Amazing artwork everyone!

Writing out our play dough recipes in the EYC, following the instructions to make our play dough, then having lots of fun exploring and being creative with it✏️🤩

P1-4 pupils went outside this afternoon to make their own rainbows using a glass of water and sunlight. There was lots of excitement as rainbow colours appeared on the white paper. Super science everyone!

Our EYC children are loving their weekly visits from Camembear and their French stories and songs. “Camembear is my best friend”, A 🥰🐻🇫🇷

The girls in P5-7 at Barrhill Primary have been busy in their spare time making loom bands. This fitted perfectly with our maths lesson in measure where the children lead their learning using their own creations. I think they may have a world record for the longest band! 😊📏

Today P1-4 read a story all about a little girl who found examples of symmetry. At the end of the story, she got a gingerbread man so we decided to decorate our own symmetrical gingerbread men. We used a mirror to keep checking that it was symmetrical. #MathsWeekScotland
