Every time I receive that "Stipends" they call salary, I get so angry and sad. This month, I was expecting a miracle from MDCN but nothing changed. Why are we not paid the 25% increment? Why are we not paid the 35k palliative? Are we not Doctors too?

During my HJ, I was one of the very few unmarried HOs, I had colleagues who were married and family people. Even at that, personal responsibilities alone can be so much, House Officers should benefit from the 25% salary increase and other allowances. Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria please 🙏🏾

I work crazy hours, been exposed to lassa (mind you I was told to take samples from this patient with examination gloves), not to mention pricks, blood spills), inflation, high cost of exams, and the little 25% n bonuses Wey I suppose use hold body, dem say I no dey entitled!!!

Most of us spent close to ten years in med school. So starting Housejob, you already have responsibilities. Even if that were not the case, the point remains that HOs are doctors and if the directive was for all doctors then HOs should be included.
