In neurology/psychiatry, we would call this Apathy. Brain damage to the frontal lobe (dorsal anterior cingulate cortex) causes apathy & reduces empathy. SARS-CoV-2 damages this region of the brain. Every. Single. Time. More infections = more damage = more apathy. 🧵
