I lost my father on the 16th of October. He died 3 hours after we got back from the Scillies and told him all about our trip. He waited for our return. He gave me my love of birds and nature . He came to Shetland and scilly until he was 78! This is him, with my bro in law.

This is just how touch and go migration is. A continental Blackbird was watched coming in off the North Sea Spurn Bird Observatory Shattered, it pitched down twice in the sea 50 yards from shore. To great cheers by those watching, it eventually made landfall safely. Amazing migration!👍

And we think we know where it goes hiding m for hours on end
