Transaxillary Approach for Valve Surgery - I Like It! In this case, a 44-year-old male underwent MV and TV repair. The visualization was perfect. But there’s not enough space to show the visualization properly through a phone camera. I plan to implement headcamera soon. 😉

A 34-year-old woman had a unicuspid AV with severe insufficiency and an ascending aorta measuring 46mm. A 5cm skin incision was made for anterior thoracotomy in the 2nd ICS. We performed an aortic valve replacement with a 25mm mechanical valve and a 28mm vascular prosthesis.

Right anterior minithoracotomy is an approach where we typically use fingers for aortic valve prosthesis suturing. To improve visualization during suturing, especially in patients with deep chests, a knot-pusher device is particularly helpful. #AorticValve #AVR #KnotPusher

A 63-year-old female. Peak gradient of 76 mmHg in the LVOT, with moderate to severe mitral valve regurgitation due to SAM. We performed a right anterior thoracotomy, which provided excellent visualization of the LVOT, a key reason we routinely use this approach. Oleksandr Babliak
