Some folks don't seem to understand how QT works. The Federal Reserve reduced its cap from $25B/month to $5B/month. Add to it a lot of their balance sheet has maturing assets. So they are buying 10-year notes today to ensure they don't have a faster roll-off than projected.

There's been a modest recovery in foreign equity flows into the US.

The initial reciprocal tariff for the UK was 10%, which is the same as the baseline tariffs for all the countries. So it doesn’t give us much to work with. A deal with a country that had higher reciprocal tariffs will give us better insight into the format of these deals.
