Our last game of the season tomorrow - Blackburn Athletic at Pleasington, kick-off 6.00pm. Get down and support the lads if you can and we’ll be presenting our end of season awards afterwards.

We’ll be presenting our end of season awards after tonight’s game - Player of the year Sportsman of the year Leading Goalscorer (hope nobody scores a bag full of goals tonight or we’ll be needing a new trophy) But who will be the winners?

Unbelievable last 10 minutes in our last game of the season last night, Si scoring twice within a minute to pull us back from 2-0 down against Blackburn Athletic to draw 2-2. The spirit, athleticism and determination was awesome. Enjoy the cricket during the summer.

Si ran from an onside position to loop the ball over the keeper for his, and our, second goal last night.

The new season is almost upon us. We have a friendly against Accrington Old Boys on 4 September and the league starts on 7 September against Blackburn Rangers. Worth Avenue assemble!

The season starts this week - let’s go to work!

Very good game on Wednesday in our only preseason friendly. Thanks to Accrington Old Boys FC Accrington Old Boys for hosting and to Khiz for organising, all great lads. Close for the most part but we were undone late on by some clinical finishing going down 5-2. Season starts tomorrow.

Our opening game didn’t go as we would have hoped, with several senior players missing we went down 3-1 to Blackburn Rangers, Reece D being on target for our solitary goal. We go again on Saturday with a stern test against Rishton Town Football Club at Pleasington.

Another reshuffle this week but Si’s goal put us 1-0 up at half time against Rishton Town Football Club. Three goals for Rishton early in second half but Si scored another and his low drilled cross was turned in for an own goal to pull us back level at 3-3. Conceded late on to lose 4-3.

Next game - this Saturday v Stanhill at Pleasington. Get down and cheer on the lads if you’re able.

Not the result we wanted on Saturday going down 6-3. No game this weekend as we go into the international break- half the lads will be in Belfast for an end-of-cricket season bash whilst one will be in Munich for Oktoberfest (jealous!). Prost/slainte lads, enjoy the craic.

Awaiting Hurricane Milton in Orlando. A few hours before it arrives and lots of people have left Tampa seeking refuge inland so the hotel is full. All is calm but our thoughts are with our new neighbours as they don’t know what they will be returning to once Milton has passed.
