Rarely have I seen AI described so succinctly.

I have not heard this discussed much, but this point is spot on. Colleges and universities cannot sell themselves as bastions of environmental sustainability while also encouraging students and faculty to see ChatGPT as a learning tool they should integrate into their work.

One of my biggest concerns right now about AI in the classroom is how AI views writing. Writing = a mundane chore that AI can eliminate; generic writing is fine. If we’re not careful, the tool controls our narratives about the value of writing, both the process and the product.

Instead of infusing AI into all ed tech because of hype and FOMO, we need to look for specific cases where integrating AI can at once stimulate student skepticism of AI outputs, meet an existing learning need, and not interfere with good pedagogy. #AIliteracy #AIineducation
