In-service training today at St Saviour's Primary The session focused on Autistic people’s sensory experiences, with discussions around adapting the school environment to meet a variety of needs. Thanks so much to the teaching staff for having me. 🙂

Another in-service training yesterday with The Nature Nursery Montessori, an outdoor nursery based at Kilbank Farm in Lanark. A beautiful location and a fantastic group of staff. They also kindly let me use one of their hammocks for a bit, easily a career highlight!!

I'm seeing a lot about Scottish Government's proposals to ban mobiles in schools. I wonder how much thought has gone into children with ASN that need different communication tools (yes that includes phones for some) - how is this proposal lawful under the Health (Scotland) Act 2016 & UNCRC?

I had a great time at Kirktonholme Childcare last Friday delivering training to the managers of their various nurseries. We discussed sensory needs, play, monotropism, masking, among other aspects. Thank you to the nursery for having me again! :)
